Mayka Skin Solutions didn’t start as a marketing concept. It started as a quiet obsession with doing skincare right.

Back in 2021, a Miami‑based entrepreneur founded Mayka with a simple conviction: if you’re going to put something on your skin every single day, it should be made consciously, with real care, and with ingredients worthy of your trust. For a long time, that’s exactly why Mayka was a hidden gem discovered by word of mouth, and passed from friend to friend.

One of those early believers was Monica better known on social media as “Monica La Toxica.” Long before she ever dreamed of owning Mayka, Monica was a devoted client. She didn’t just talked about the products; she used them, traveled with them, and recommended them to her closest circle. Over time, she and the founder became friends, sharing long conversations about business, beauty, and what “non‑toxic” really means in a world full of marketing claims.

More than once, the idea of partnering came up.

The founder saw the power of Monica’s voice and the loyalty of her community. Monica saw something even more important: a brand whose mission actually matched what she cares about, every day wellbeing, honesty, and skin that looks like skin, not a filter. But life, timing, and responsibilities kept the conversations pending.

Then, everything changed.

A few years later, for personal reasons, the original owner decided it was time to step away from the business. There was one person he thought of first. He picked up the phone and called Monica not as an influencer, but as a friend who had believed in Mayka from the beginning.

In 2025, “one day” finally became today. Monica acquired Mayka Skin Solutions.

But instead of tearing everything down and starting from scratch, she made a different choice. She chose to protect what made Mayka special and layer her world on top of it.

The mission stayed the same:

  • Conscious manufacturing because how a product is made matters as much as what’s in it.

  • Real care for the wellbeing of the consumer because skin is personal, not a demographic.

  • An uncompromising promise to maintain the highest standards of production and quality ingredients because shortcuts always show up on your face.

What changed was the voice, the energy, and the connection.

Monica integrated her own image, story, and unapologetically honest personality into the brand. The formulas you loved are still here, grounded in quality and integrity. But now they live inside a world shaped by Monica’s touch closer to her community, more transparent, more playful, and more direct about what works and what doesn’t.

HOW WE DO IT

Research shows that the average woman uses cosmetics and cleaning products on a daily basis, exposing herself to approximately 168 chemical agents, which increases the risk of cancer, toxicity, and allergies. With this knowledge in mind, we embarked on a journey to create a product that can deliver results without compromising the well-being of the consumer. In the process, we found ourselves delving deeper into the understanding of beauty and the difference between modern and ancient beauty practices both effective but based on entirely opposite principles.

Modern beauty relies on synthetic chemistry, and we do not intend to vilify that approach. In fact, most of those products are highly effective. Unfortunately, they are not suitable for individuals with sensitivities or for the health-conscious, as they burden the system and have to be metabolized by the liver the very organ responsible for detoxifying and maintaining the clean environment necessary for healthy skin, hair, and nails.

After dedicated research focused on Ayurvedic medicine and other ancient beauty practices, we finally found the right formulation and established relationships with farmers around the world from whom we source the raw materials carefully chosen to bring Mayka to life.

We are transparent in our process and write the common name of every ingredient next to the botanical name so the consumer knows what they are applying to their skin. We strive to find the purest sources of organic and natural ingredients and work only with suppliers that share our philosophy.
